Recently the HBS core team of Paul Zakalek, Thomas Gutberlet and JCNS-2 Director Karen Friese visited the colleagues of ESS Bilbao to discuss common activities and projects.ESS Bilbao Director Mario Perez welcome the group and together with Ibon Bustinduy, Felix Villacorta and Fernando Sordo an exiting visit to the ESS Bilbao experimental area was organized. The near installation of the accelerator RFQ will soon open the possibility for neutron production. HBS and ESS Bilbao will join forces to develop a suitable neutron source concept.
